Perhaps Christmas is the most cekebrated of all major public holidays of the world. New year is a bit different as it is not a religious festival.
On 25th December, the world over celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. Though history has it that Jesus was not actually born on 25th of December yet they still celebrate it as the birthday of the Messiah.
Different Factors That Make Christmas Memorable
==============================
CAROLS
During Noel many songs are sung to commemorate the birth of Jesus. These songs known as Carols, make Christmas what it is.
Jingle Bells, I Wish You A Merry Christmas, are some of the carols. Such songs normally strike a chord in many people.
CELEBRATIONS
Christmas is mainly accompanied by celebrations. This is the time when families come together and party.
Families make trips, tours and journeys to tourist attractions. Celebrationd range from buying new attire to feasting.
PRESENTS AND GIFTS
Actually during Christmas time very many gifts exchange hands. One wants to ensure they make others happy by offering them gifts and presents.
Since they believe that Jesus Christ was a gift given by God for mankind, they emulate God by offering gifts.
Santa Claus also moves about making children and family members happy by offering them gifts.
LOVE
Christmas is a time when people show great love to others. They share the little that they have.
- "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
What We Forget About Christmas
==============================
We should evaluate our stand with Jesus. He died for the atonement of our sins.
Are we living befitting lives? Is our relationship with Jesus Christ mutual?
Many have gone astray. They feature on celebrations and forget the reason for celebration. Why should
we take the bible as an old book? Jesus said He comes quickly.
Let us value the reason for the season.
