Some stats first
Looks like we're nearing the end of week #1 and we've started off with a splash! We've already seen an influx of visitors right off the get go, and people are getting ahead and sharing their movies and TV reels and reviews. I must admit guys, so far I'm impressed! Really impressed. Well done.
Let's share a few beginner stats with you so far.
Website Visits
Since launch we have been collecting between 400 & 500 unique visits daily. That is an incredible amount to start off with, considering so many websites begin their journey with 1% of those daily numbers. I know, I've been in the game before!
I expect this is only going to get better as we expand and grow. I may even think about adding some ads to the front end and using the proceeds to buy and burn $CINE at a later date. Let's see how this pans out though.
Coin Distribution & Burn
I have been keeping track of our outgoings in a spreadsheet, which was suggested to me by . It's been an awesome idea because now when it comes to producing statistics I can then instead of spending a long time working it out, I can actually just take a screenshot.
This is what it looks like so far:
So if you look in this sheet I have issued a total of 2,281,457 $CINE. 281,457 $CINE is floating around in the Hive ecosystem, whilst the rest has been sent to burn.
Another nice statistic to look at is that nearly three quarters of our available coins are being staked. That's very impressive, especially for the beginning of a project.
What is next?
Okay, so I think we'll start off slowly. I don't want to overload you guys with so much to do and choose from that you get bogged down with options. One thing I've realised in my long career with humanity is that the more options you give someone the more confused they can become. One option is good, a few options is best, many will just leave people scattered and confused.
So I'm going to kick this off with a few ideas to get started. Then, as the months skip past we will introduce more and more things. Anyway:
Weekly Film and TV Group
We are going to kick off this week with a film for all of you to watch and discuss. This will run from today until next Friday, which will give you a week and a day to watch it and discuss it. I will be taking part too, because I think a great leader does so by example, and hey, I want to have an excuse to sit down and watch a movie in the middle of the day! Haha. Wouldn't you?
Okay, so, the first film I would like you to watch and discuss is:
Good Will Hunting
Movie here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119217/
Please be reminded that you do not need to take part in this if you don't want to, so all is well. But if you do wish to take part then here is a few things that I would like you to take note of:
I am looking for a discussion, and not a review!
So rather than telling me the storyline I would like to hear your thoughts and perceptions of the film as a whole.
Some questions you could be asking yourself is:
- Do I like will?
- What kind of background must he have had to be this way?
- Did you enjoy the way he acted?
- Did you notice a transformation in his thinking along the way?
Plenty of questions you could be asking yourself in this film and putting it onto here. You don't need to use my suggestions, you could absolutely create your own!
Today I'll create a Film and TV group on discord too so I'll know who to look out for!
High effort posts with lots of discussion will get rewarded well!
And that's it. Going forward we will choose the next person to choose the next movie and we'll all have a stab at it!
And remember you can delegate your $Cine to
to earn BRO
Don't forget that you can stake and send cine to earn BRO. Cool huh? Plenty of ways to earn :)
