She has showed up twice now in my YouTube stream so I figured I'd check it out and see what it's all about.
The opening scene is a young girl between 8 and 10 years of age wandering through a forest carrying a lantern. She looks to be alone yet part of an unseen group who is also in the forest and it looks like they are searching for something. Then a man appears in front of her and picks her up. They start laughing and dad is introduced. They talk about how to keep from getting lost which turns out to be a clue later in the movie.
Back at home she discovers her dad's coworker has come for a visit. Her father puts her to bed after putting something away in his office and then it cuts to ten years later.
It is here we discover a bit more about the towns dark secret and why they built a wall around the city. They claim there is an infection that is hard to detect in the first two stages but by the third stage they are as good as dead.
Abigail keeps getting flashbacks of conversations with her father and discovers the wall and the infection are a lie to control the city's populace. She sets out to discover the truth and hopefully find her father. In the process she discovers she is one of these "special" people and meets others like herself and together they take on a corrupt system? Do they win? If so how and what do they learn in the end?
I thought the over all storyline and plot were pretty good having a steampunk theme. One of my favorites. 😉😉
The physical acting was pretty good but the emotions just were not there in several of the actors.
The costumes and special effects were really well done. This movie was released in 2019 by Russian Studio, KD Studios. It won two awards at the International Fairytale Festival.
Go watch it and let me know your opinion.
