Hello, friends of Hive and lovers of good coffee!
Since I came back to Brazil, one of the things I enjoy most here, with no doubt, is coffee. Yes, Brazilian coffee is really amazing, and living around this world I have found in a few places such delicious fresh coffee as I find here...
However, I have something curious to share with you. In Brazil coffee is something so common that people end up not valuing it very much. For example, it is not common here to find cafes, i.e. places that serve only special coffees. If you want to have a coffee in Brazil, you usually go to a bakery, but in bakeries, you won't have a coffee experience, right?
Another curious thing is that drip coffee in Brazil is usually cheaper than espresso, which is quite different from the rest of the world.
Coffe 15, my fav cafe
Particularly I find it bad that traditional cafes are rare here. I really enjoy taking a coffee break and miss finding more coffee shops. Luckily this is changing and with some effort, you can find places that are dedicated only to coffee and the coffee experience.
In my hometown there's a place dedicated to special coffees called Coffee 15. It's a nice little cafe dedicated exclusively to specialty coffees.
The owners are also coffee growers in the Minas Gerais region, so they not only serve coffee but also grow and roast it. Inside the coffee shop itself there is a roasting machine, and when it is working the aroma is very pleasant.
Today I decided I would take a break there to relax a little and take a breather. I chose a latte that was amazing, but I also ended up getting a cookie to go with it.
I have already become friends with Kevin, the barista, and he has been improving his latte art. Today he made a swan for me! I thought it was simply sensational!
Does it looks like a swan, right? Leave a comment bellow if you think this latte art rocks!
Another thing that I think it is cool about this cafe is that from time to time they bring some local photographers to show their work.
I am lucky enough that Coffee 15 is practically next door to my house, so for short breaks I just need to take a short 15-minute walk, which I love!
I also like the decor of the place, which is very simple, but at the same time very cozy. Without a doubt, Coffee 15 is one of my favorite cafes to take a breather, take a break from day-to-day life, and enjoy a great cup of coffee!
Hope that you enjoy the post and I want to bring more cafe reviews to this community! Caffeinated hugs to all!
