Skiathos is a small Greek island in the Aegean Sea. It is only 12 kilometers long and 6 kilometers wide on average. Compared to the other Greek islands, there are not so many historical monuments, that's why tourists seek first and foremost those interested in bathing. There are over 60, mostly sandy beaches on the 44-kilometer coastline. One of the scenes of "Mamma mia" was filmed here.
I visited this small town last Thursday, travelling by bus and the Elisabet cruise ship, and took many photos there. Here is a selection:
