These photos I shoot today in the city of Kiryat-Bialik. I visited my dentist and on the way back I walked through a small park on Ben Gurion av. In this park there are many trees of Jacaranda, which at this time blossoms with violet purple flowers.
The fading petals fall quickly and lining the green lawns with a bright lilac carpet. On the photo is not "carpet", but sometimes the fallen petals are really very similar to carpet.
Jacaranda is a sub-tropical tree, genus of flowering trees from the family of ligninia, which includes 50 plant species.
Jacaranda's blossom continues about two weeks, so in many countries with a favorable climate it is grown as a plant for urban decor.
