Hong Kong Lights up for Christmas - My entry in
's #cityscapephotography contest.
Hong Kong's cityscape is always a show. But around Christmas and until Chinese New Year each year the city really pulls out all the stops and creates a wonderfully vibrant scene with many of its buildings illuminated with bright and colourful decorative lights. Zoom on in and you'll be able to read the lights.
I took this shot, amongst many others, last night. I don't often venture over to Tsim Sha Tsui unless it's for shopping, but I decided to go on a long walk through the streets of Kowloon with my camera in hand ending up on the promenade in Tsim Sha Tsui looking across the harbour at Hong Kong island.
Surrounded by tourists and other shutter-bugs, I couldn't resist taking a few of these 'postcard' style shots. Funny, I've lived here so long that scenes like this have somewhat become taken for granted.

This photo was taken with a heavy heart as my fiancee couldn't be with me 😔 Unfortunately she's not well, so if you can, please say a prayer for her. I'd really appreciate it 🙏🏼
And please remember dear Steemians to find some gratitude for your own lives, and especially for those you love.
Merry Christmas All!
