Classic Car: Breakfast Run!!
In my post, 1968 VW Fastback, of yesterday, I did promise that I will write a post on the classic car breakfast run, we took part in on Sunday.
We started at a Classic Car shop, I wrote on before. The shop is located in a parking area under some shops. They also have a nice little coffee shop inside, the car shop, where you can see my wife, my brother and his wife having some coffee.
The owner, basically buy and sell classic cars, and also repair classic cars. He also rent out space for people to store and work on classic cars, inside his shop!!
He also organize classic car events, like the one I am posting about.
This old VW, is a 1956 rag-top and also went on the run!!
On the photo below you can see the coffee shop in the background as well as a very beautiful Corvette!!
Two Corvettes in one shop!! They are very scarce here in South Africa, and both are in great condition. You can get a good idea of what the shop looks like, with the cars standing in the parking area!!
Here are some of the participants gathering on the outside.
If you read my previous post, you will recognize my red VW Fastback below. The brown VW Beetle next to it is my brother's.
I loved this Jag E-Type, it was in a great condition!!
Who would think that this large red convertible Thunderbird, is only a two seater. A real two seater, it does not even have seats at the back for children, like most other sports cars have!!
We did a round trip of 136km, and here some of the cars are arriving at the mid point, where we took a break to check the oil and water levels and just to look and admire the cars, and stretch the legs.
Below is a photo showing the three different type-3 VW's, the Squareback, Notchback and Fastback.
Finally the Ford's also made it to the venue!! LOL!!
Here is a photo of the three, Type-3 VW's from the front!!
On my Actifit post of Sunday, I had a photo of these blue Porsche's taken from the front.
As you can see there was quite a number of classic cars on this trip.
Everybody enjoyed the day, driving t, and admiring these old cars.
It was a great outing and I am looking forward to the next one.
I hope you enjoyed the post.
Stay Safe!
