James Hall Museum of Transport; Episode 2
I wrote, my previous post on this museum, and promised that I will continue soon, and now I am making good on this promise.
There are a few unique vehicles in this museum, and this bus is one of them, as you can see on the sign in the window, this was the largest, front engined, half cab bus ever built and the only remaining one that is complete.
The next unique car, is this Frankenstein car, made up from various cars.
This car was called the Wesbank Any Car. Wesbank is a car financing company that used this car for advertising
I love the back part of this car with the huge wings and Beetle back side!!
Note the VW Combi, which was converted to an ELECTRIC Vehicle in 1972.
In between al the cars, there was also a section with bicycles, which was also nice to see.
A bit further on we found this tricycle, which was quite interesting, being a front wheel drive, with the engine sitting on the front forks, driving the wheel via a chain!!
The next vehicle was also used for advertising purposes, this is the Outspan Orange, a number of them were manufactured using Mini chassis and drive trains . They were also used in Europe, you can read more about them on the photo further on.
I see, I still have a number of photos left, thus, I will write another post on this museum, soon. I was really surprised at all the stuff on display here. What is surprising is that very few people knows about this museum, I have never heard of it before and it is only about 80km from where I live.
I hope you enjoyed the post and that you have a wonderful day.
