James Hall Museum of Transport; Episode 3
Today, I am on episode 3 of my visit to the transport museum, and still it is not my last episode!!
The vehicle above is a 1957 Rolls Royce, which was used by the Johannesburg Mayor up to 1970.
The next section of the museum had a number of old Fire Engines on display, I particularly liked this section.
Some of the fire engines were quite old and it was nice to see all these old machines and the old tech of days gone by.
A number of these old machines had beautiful copper radiators on the nose, and note the crank handles on some of them, I wonder how much effort it took to crank those old engines??
The white vehicle above is an old ambulance.
Just look at the beautiful design of the truck below.
Just look at the old square mat to catch people jumping to escape from the flames, above is some more modern ones, of the round type.
They even had an old uniform and some fireman gear on display.
Like I already mentioned, I particularly enjoyed this section of the museum. Episode 4 will follow soon.
I hope you enjoyed the post and that you have a wonderful day.
