James Hall Museum of Transport; Episode 4
The posts on the visit to the transport museum turned out much more than I expected. I am already writing the 4th post, and I think I will still write a 5th one after this one.
Note the scooters against the wall.
Below is a 1957 Protea a sports car that was manufactured in South Africa.
Only 20 were built, 14 used Ford Popular engines and the rest, used a variety of engines.
The cars were really packed tightly into this museum and the walls were used to display motor bikes.
Below is a motorised car for a child, note the petrol engine in the front. This must have been for some rich kids of the day.
The photo below is quite interesting, just look at the guy sitting inside the car, while it is being tested for lightning safety - I don't think I would like that job. Hopefully it is a dummy, but to me it looks like a real man!!
After the second World War petrol became restricted and some owners converted their cars to work with gas, by fitting a gas producer to the car.
I really loved all these old cars.
This was my second last post on the transport museum, hopefully, I will write the last instalment soon.
I hope you enjoyed the post and that you have a wonderful day.
