Why would the IPCC reports hype up the threat of climate change? Who would benefit? The fossil fuel industries, who want to profit from cap and trade? I don't think so. They would be in the fast lane to extinction if the world really got serious about fighting climate change.

Overwhelming empirical data says the world's climate is warming at an exponential rate and this is mostly caused by human activity. The IPCC is not the only one saying this. Overall, I enjoy your reports, James, but about this issue, I think you need to look at all the data and not cherry-pick.
