Talk about another tradition. Days before Chinese New Year, we usually will clean our house from top to bottom to get rid off all the bad luck. Throw away unused stuff is the first thing we need to do for spring cleaning work which signifies throw away the old and welcome the new in this big festival. Finish all the cleaning before the chinese new year arrives.
春节前家家户户全家总动员一定会来个大扫除。把家的里里外外给打扫得干干净净。传统的说法是大扫除能够让家里一整年不好的运气给请出家外。首先一定要扔掉旧的东西，那代表除旧迎新。把屋子换个新装来迎接新年的到来。
Chinese New Year is the time when families get together. So decorating the house with lots of reds is a must for us. We will hang red lanterns at home and you can see them at most of the public places too.
新年期间是一家大小围绕团聚在一起的时候。所以我们都会把家里布置得红彤彤。到处最常能见到的就是挂红灯笼。
Not to forget door couplets. Door couplets are usually pasted on each side of the door. It's written on red paper and usually expresses best wishes for the coming year. We can always see 福(Fu) too during chinese new year. Fu(福) means good luck or fortune in chinese. And we often pasted it upside-down because elderly believe that good fortune will literally pour out on the house.
对联/春联，通常都会被贴在大门两旁。祝贺/吉祥语都会写在红纸上。此外，最常看见的就是倒过来贴的福字。“福”代表好运，表示幸福已到"、福气已到的意思。
Having a tangerine tree(kumquat tree) at home during chinese new year symbolizes wealth, good luck and prosperity.
金桔树也是其中少不了的装饰之一。意味着财源滚滚和大吉大利，是吉祥的象征。
It's the end of the day, Woofie has finished cleaning and decorating the house.
大扫除和装饰了整间家，Woofie终于完成所有的任务了。累跨了。
