Chinese paper cutting
The art of paper-cutting (genus Paper cutting ) in China can be returned to the second century CE, because paper was invented by Kai Lun in the Eastern Han Dynasty in China. As the paper became more affordable, paper cutting became the most important type of Chinese folk art. Later, this art form spread to other parts of the world, as well as various areas adopted its cultural style. Because cutouts are often used to decorate doors and windows, they are sometimes known as quang ( Window grilles ), window blossoms or window-cut-cut. People stuck the papercoat in the outer parts of the windows, so the light was cut through the negative space of the cutout from inside. Generally, artifacts are made from red paper, since red is associated with celebration and joy in Chinese culture, but other colors were also used. Generally, paper-cutting artwork is used on the festivals during the spring festival, weddings and childbirth. Papercut is always a symbol of fate and happiness.
