Even though Prague is not dirt-cheap as it once used to be, you will still find the Czech Republic to be decently priced for an independent travel. If you avoid over-priced downtown for your meals, do not stay in expensive hotels and use public transportation to get around not just Prague but to explore the country as well you might be nicely surprised that it is still fairly affordable compare the other European destinations.
Rough costs:
Daily budget: Basic €40 to €50
Drink: Pilsner Urquell €1.50
Food: Pork and dumplings €5
Hostel/budget hotel: €15/€40
Travel: Train: Prague–Olomouc €12
