Don't worry there are No spoilers in this post
Last week I decided to rewatch The Karate Kid (1984 Ralph Macchio) I have seen it A few times and I must admit I enjoyed it very much however Part 2 and Part 3 for me don't quite live up to the first one. The rivalry and the love story between characters made it more iconic to me.
I have heard of the numerous spin-offs and sequels but I haven't watched any of them apart from The Karate Kid (2010 Jackie Chan) which I found disappointing.
The last few days I mentioned in the TeamUk discord that I rewatched the karate Kid and fellow Hiver told me about Cobra Kai A YouTube original recently moved onto Netflix. Before he told me I did see it on Netflix and debated watching it but didn't until he recommended it to me. I had no idea the show was on YouTube back in 2018. I am really glad it is on Netlix now as it will drive its popularity up.
Me being me I binged through the two seasons (20 episodes) in under A week and it was AMAZING!
It really gave me goosebumps watching It gave homage to the Original film whilst maintaining A modernised and beautiful feel.
The series dives deeper into each character to the point you question was johnny Lawrence Actually A good guy back then. and was it really Daniel LaRusso being bad.
I leave that to you to decide.
Ralph Macchio and William Zabka do A fantastic job acting in this series as well as all the other actors and the Tv series is A masterpiece.
My Review
I am not A big TV show fan I always prefer Movies over them.
However, I was amazed at this show for many reasons.
The show didn't feel dragged out each episode was very important and didn't feel boring.
The show gave amazing Homage to the original movie which I loved.
lot's of unexpected twists that kept getting better and better.
Incredible soundtrack.
I highly recommend that you should watch Cobra kai It Brings The Karate kid sage back to life.
Netflix did A great job taking this from YouTube and I'm so hyped for Season 3.
