This post is just going to be on the future of call of duty in my opinion. You do not have to agree with me, so if you do not let me know down in the comments.
Alot of call of duties in the past did not succeed but alot did. Will call of duty try revive some of these older Call of Dutys that never succeeded or stay with popular demand to maximize there profit.
In my opinion the next decade of Call of Duty will be boots in the ground with a few thruster pack games. The new Call of duty is WWII which is boots on the ground.
I honestly love boots on the ground and perfer it to thruster games. I myself am a battlefield player as well as a competitive COD player but I love slow paced games over fast passed. The fact that Call of duty is basically devolutionising it made me way more interested in the franchise because I loved bo3 and Modern warfare on ps3.
I hope Call of duty (Treyarch, Infintitiy ward, Sledge hammer) have a big future ahead and I will definately stay tuned.
