I've been a barista for seven years now. I remember it all started when I decided to take a course during my vacation — and I chose one on barismo. Back then, I didn’t even know what the word meant; I just knew it had something to do with coffee. Since then, my life completely changed, and I discovered a hidden passion.
Over these seven years, I've taken several courses related to the world of barismo and worked in various coffee shops in my city. My goal? To gain experience, apply my knowledge, and most importantly: have constant access to an espresso machine!
Back in 2018, when everything began, I was still studying and had no idea which professional path to follow. While finishing my studies, I decided to work as a barista, and little by little, I fell deeply in love with this art.
Because yes — barismo is an art, and that’s exactly why it captivated me😍✨.
Today, I work in areas related to my professional background in business administration and project management. However, barismo continues to be a meaningful part of my life. It’s a hobby I’ve never stopped practicing. At home, I have a wide variety of tools, gear, and coffee makers that make my home office life so much more enjoyable. Can you imagine working from home while drinking bad coffee? 🥴😫.
For me, every moment I make coffee is sacred. I take my time and enjoy each step of the process. And when the coffee —hot or cold, depending on my mood— turns out beautifully, I don’t hesitate to snap a photo. I truly enjoy that part too. In the end, my hobby is the perfect mix: making beautiful, delicious coffee and photographing it.

Hace siete años que soy barista. Recuerdo que todo comenzó porque quise hacer un curso durante mis vacaciones, y elegí uno de barismo. En aquel entonces no sabía qué significaba exactamente, solo que tenía que ver con el café. Desde entonces, mi vida cambió por completo y descubrí una pasión oculta.
A lo largo de estos siete años, he realizado múltiples cursos relacionados con el mundo del barismo y he trabajado en diversas cafeterías de mi ciudad. ¿Mi objetivo? Obtener experiencia, poner en práctica mis conocimientos y, lo más importante: ¡tener acceso constante a una máquina espresso!
En 2018, cuando todo comenzó, yo estaba estudiando y aún no sabía qué camino profesional seguir. Mientras finalizaba mis estudios, decidí trabajar como barista, y con el tiempo me fui enamorando más y más de este arte.
Porque sí, el barismo es un arte, y por eso me cautivó tanto😍✨.
Actualmente me dedico a actividades relacionadas con mi profesión en administración y gestión de empresas y proyectos. Sin embargo, el barismo sigue siendo una parte muy importante de mi vida. Es un hobby que no he dejado de practicar, ya que en casa tengo una gran variedad de utensilios, materiales y cafeteras que hacen que el home office sea mucho más placentero.
¿Te imaginas trabajar desde casa bebiendo un mal café? 😖😫.
Para mí, cada momento en el que preparo café es un ritual sagrado. Me tomo mi tiempo y disfruto cada paso. Y cuando el café (ya sea caliente o frío, dependiendo de mi mood) queda hermoso, no dudo en tomarle fotos, algo que también disfruto muchísimo.
Al final, mi hobby es la combinación perfecta de: hacer cafés buenos y bonitos, y tomarles fotos.

Y pensar que al principio no sabía ni lo que era el barismo... Pero así es el amor💖☕.
