Maybe this post title is old news. After all, I found this in a discount store marked down to $10 from a claimed MSRP of $20. I can say for sure it is vastly superior to my old one that now lives at the library, though.
The picture above is from one of my last posts on the chain which shall not be named.
It is smaller, poorly constructed, and in general barely functional. But it is functional, and it was free, so it has its place this side of the trash bin.
We will see whether this new coffee press holds up over time, but it is satisfactory for now. If you want to try french press coffee, it's worth $10 to try. Just remember to get your coffee ground coarsely like for an old-fashioned percolator so there isn't too much sediment in your cup.
