When I see or hear someone mention that they "love coffee", it sounds similar to people proclaiming that they are dog lovers. Have you ever met someone who didn't love dogs? Or who didn't love coffee? If you do, unfriend them, block them, and avoid them. You cannot trust these people.
I, like yourself... Love coffee. Not only because I am addicted to it, but because I am also addicted to it. (It tastes quite satisfactory, as well.)
One year, I was going to Starbucks EVERY SINGLE DAY. So much in fact, that at the end of the year when I logged into my rewards account online, I noticed that the year prior; I spent over $2,000! Seriously? Literally that day, I stopped going to Starbucks... And now make all my coffee at home.
I realize Starbucks' coffee isn't great... For the Cupper's, and aficionado's out there, I apologize in advance for stressing you out with my foul 'S' word.
So... After quitting Starbucks, I had to learn how to make coffee at home. Previously, I only owned a small french press, and an automatic coffee machine. I was searching for an espresso taste, on an instant coffee budget.
Then... I found the Aeropress. Long blog short; well worth the $29.99.
And... Here is how I make my morning coffee :)
Fill both my mason jar, and the mug with ice
Using my favorite ground coffee
Invert, my Aeropress (plunger between the O-P letters)
One heaping spoonful
Fill with water, 2 minutes off a boil
Stir the grounds, and scrape the bottom and sides
Cap on. Don't forget the filter inside :D
Flip over on mug, and let sit for 20 seconds before pressing. I slow press, about 10 seconds.
Add milk and sugar to the mason jar
Pour over ice with included funnel
I love to see the coffee and milk blend.
It's science! Or something?
Voilà!
