I am sure I am not alone in having a collection of things that mean something to them, whether it is a special song or a box of nic naks that you have collected over the years that have a meaning to them.
I personally have many keep sakes, I have a box of 'things' which to other people are meaningless but to me they hold so many memories - programmes from watching the New York Mets in spring training with a special person and his parents - a square of blanket goobie used to lay on and was buried in when he died, or even a programme and pictures from one of the many Bon jovi concerts I had brought for surprise pressies - just things to other people but priceless to me
I also have a collection of me to you bears - started off with the odd one or two as presents because of the writing on them and it snowballed from there !! I now have over 300 ceramic ones and over 100 stuffed ones, all brought for me and some of them engraved with even more special meanings. It makes dusting in my house a nightmare !!
They are housed on 2 6ft bookcases as well as across 3 chest of drawers and in the bed drawers and along the windowsill and on the ottoman - as well as anywhere else I can find to put them !!
Not content with having my me to you bears as my collection my family have now started to buy me Winnie the Pooh bears as well ...... It's not as large yet but it is getting there ........
