Amanita muscaria is always a joy to behold. I love the symbolism during the winter holidays. I tell children that Santa is a shaman of the northlands that dines on Amanita muscaria in order to fly through the night and make magic. Reindeer like to eat it too. Not for children to eat though...it makes one sick unless specially prepared to remove the toxins.
