These aren't on or near our property. They're someone else's. If they were here, I'd now be hard at work making juice. Elderberry juice, hot and with a good dose of honey (added after it cools a bit so you don't kill the good stuff in the honey), is excellent for a sore throat. Danes also like to eat it as a meal calling it "soup" and putting dried bread-product in it.

I had to use the high iso... I had the camera setting it automatically. The sun was going down and it was cloudy, so not much light.
What's annoying about having lots of elderberries is that the birds spread them and they grow up like weeds and the bushes and leaves have a very unpleasant odor to handle. We used to have one in our garden, a very large one, but it had to be cut down when we were forced to redo our septic system. Some of the others we had aren't accessible anymore and are mostly gone from other things taking over. But it is easy to buy juice concentrate in the stores.
