My red abstraction is a garden hose in the back yard. I took a lot of shots of it and already posted one a couple of weeks ago. I am trying to improve my photography skills these days. I found the idea online to photograph the same simple thing many times and in different ways to see what you can make of it.
I thought I might use this photo for a macro shot. But it is really not too close up. Then my red did not come out as I thought it would, and so this shot is heavily processed. I might try it in one of the black and white contests here because I like this shot a lot.
I took these photos in the early morning. Now I might try again in full sun to see what the color does. No one is using the hose these days, so my subject has not changed. My roommates think my new activity is very funny, so I am glad to give them some lighthearted moments.
