It's a bit late in the day (but it's still Monday!) and our red poppies just burst into bloom today... so I wanted to enter this close-up of one of the opened flowers in @kalemandra's photography #colorchallenge
This is, of course an unusual view-- a super close-up, showing the dark veins in the petals, taking from the outside of the flower. With the sun lighting it up from within, the red was strikingly bright.
