today I want to present you pictures of the borage (Borago officinalis). It belongs to the family Boraginaceae. Borage is native to North Africa, Southern and Eastern Europe and Western Asia, and is found in North and South America, Australia and New Zealand. He is located in the Mediterranean area. The plant came to central Europe in the late Middle Ages. Borage reaches stature heights of up to 70 centimeters and is an annual plant. The flowering time is from May to September.
Borage is used among other things as a spice and medicinal plant. It can be used against many diseases such as fever, respiratory problems, inflammation and a few more. You can eat borage in salad but it can also be cooked as a soup or other dishes.
