In this post I present you pictures of the tomato plant (Solanum lycopersicum).
Tomatoes belong to the family Solanaceae. The origin of the tomato is Central and South America, the wild forms are distributed and native from northern Chile to Venezuela. The tomato came in modern times (probably around 1500) through Columbus to Europe. There are over 4000 different registered varieties but according to expert estimates, there are a lot more other tomato varieties.
In addition, they have valuable ingredients and are extremely healthy as they have few calories and many vitamins. Also in the kitchen Tomatoes are very popular, many dishes or salads can be cooked from them.
