In today's post I show you the real lavender (Lavandula angustifolia). Lavender reaches heights of growth of 50-100 cm and is a perennial plant. Originally lavender comes from the mediterranean area and it is an ornamental plant. It's often used in herbal medicine, but it is also a popular spice for food. Because of the many essential oils contained, lavender is also well suited to extract fragrances.
