Spring is already here!
This photo was taken on 20th January 2018 in Medvode, Slovenia.
This flower is Galanthus nivalis or Snowdrop.
In Slovenia, we call them Zvončki (bells).
Snowdrop (the scientific name Galanthus nivalis) is a common spring flower, which is classified as a family of daffodils. A typical flower has a bell-shaped shape (hence its name) and consists of three pointed pointed leaves and three shorter innermost leaves. They grow early in the spring.
We find them at the edges of the forest, in the forest, and on the meadow. They are very widespread along the banks of rivers in streams, but they do not like standing water. We can find them up to 900 meters high.
Snowdrops vary in size in the colors of flowers, after the coloring of the tips of the outer leaves, according to the shape of the stem after the flowering period.
Where can you find Snowdrops?
