For today's Colorchallenge I have chosen the Cassia Fistula tree, better known as Golden Rain Tree, in Honduras it is known as Caña Fistula. It's fruit which is a long dark pod maybe 12 inches long has seeds and a black liquid, this is used around here as a purgative. But as you can see when the tree is flowering it is actually very beautiful.
As a fun fact, and something I only learned today, this tree is the national tree of Thailand.
