This is my picture for today's green color challenge:
This is just a little part of the gardens in the Universidad Simón Bolivar - USB (Simón Bolivar University) in Venezuela. I took the picture myself today before leaving to my house.
Although the country is going through a difficult situation and so is the university, is unbelievable how you can walk in the free time and just enjoy the beauty of the gardens.
The statue you see right there is the statue of Simón Bolivar, the liberator of Venezuela and other countries of the region, and of course, whom the university took the name from.
There is a myth older students tell the new students every year when they enter the university. It says that if you walk right behind the statue, you won't be able to graduate and will eventually be expelled.
I don't believe in any of that, but it does not hurt to avoid walking behind it.
