Took this photo on a recent trip back to Los Angeles. It was taken outside on the balconies of the Griffith Observatory right after the sunset.
Due to heavy car traffic (like always..), I got really anxious about possibly missing the sunset. It was already close to sunset time when we finally arrive to the base of the park. Finally reaching the top of the mountain where the Observatory is located, we had to park extra far, due to some reason there was just a ton of people there that weekday.
We ended up running uphill to get to the balconies outside of the Observatory! It was quite a rush, but the view was all worth it. I haven't been up there in years, but the sky was beautiful. It turned indigo, then dark blue, before going completely dark; with just the stars and the city lights as the backdrop.
