We have tons of Persians at the antique shop I work at, and When i snapped this pic, I had actually been doing a lot of research on the carpets
It's not just Aladdin and his pet monkey riding these carpets! They take forever to make and are normally made from hand (the antique ones at least - nowadays, of course, they are machine made)
The "Carpet of Wonder" in Oman measures 4,343 square metres. It's construction required 4 years of labour by six hundred workers, resulting in 12 million man hours of work 🔨🤕. How's that for ya?
