I am usually sorely lacking in photos that feature indigo. Seems I hit the jackpot on my recent travels. Enjoy!
This is from Heroes Square in Budapest, Hungary. I was feeling quite small at this point.
The Dormition of the Mother of God Church in Koprivshtitsa, Bulgaria was built in 1817. We were only able to see the outside and the grounds. The church was locked and there was a rumor going around that is was closed because the priest may have been drunk. We cannot confirm or deny the allegations. ;)
Here is an abstract look at the light fixture on the balcony of our place in Koprivshtitsa...LOOK AT THAT WOOD CARVING!!! If you are ever there, I highly recommend the Dona Guest House. I found it to be a little piece of heaven...the setting was gorgeous, the grounds were peaceful, the room itself was simple, rustic and elegant all at the same time. I honestly think I could live there.
The houses in Koprivshtitsa are so colorful and interesting architecturally. This one looks as if it was painted with watercolors.
