This post is part of the colorchallenge organized by . I have enjoyed so many of your stories that have accompanied your photos / art.
Sometimes when I create my patterns, the subject of my photo of origin is virtually undetectable. My "Splendiferous" design is pretty straightforward.
I have had the opportunity to witness the life-cycles of the foliage in our local hills. On almost a daily basis, I would notice the subtle changes of the landscape and felt connected to what was taking place...one flower would sprout, bloom and fade then another would begin their journey.
The life-cycle of the grass pictured in my post was a particularly long one. I watched these blades grow in all of the places that water had collected after the rain. I then began to see that some sort of flower was going to bloom and was anxiously awaiting their display. It seemed like months! Finally the day came and these petite beauties showed their faces...millions of faces!!!
In piecing this pattern together, I enjoyed seeing the geometry and the range of colors that emerged.
Have a Splendiferous SundayPurple!
