Snorkeling with the dolphins in Kealakekua Bay. The bay is the largest deep water bay in Hawaii. It is also one of the most scenic areas on the Kona coast. The water clarity is amazing.
Getting to the area is a great drive and its best to head there early in the morning to have an opportunity to swim with the dolphins. At the north end of the bay is the Captain Cook monument and a beautiful coral reef area.
The whole Kealakekua Bay district is part of a national historic site and park.
