I was first captivated by Monet during a travelling exhibit in my city's art gallery, so it was rather a dream come true to see Claude Monet's waterlillies in its full magnificence at the Musée National de l’Orangerie des Tuileries in Paris, France some 12 years later.
The paintings are displayed architecturally on 8 panels, arranged in 2 oval rooms to symbolise infinity.

It is the first thing I think of when I envisage the colours purple, violet, lilac and magenta.
The natural light only accentuate's the painting's beauty
If it wasn't for my darling little one on the day, I could have sat on those white leather viewing couches all day. What an education.
Here's the picture of the museum, have you been? What did you think of it if so?
Thank you to for initiating this challenge. It was lovely going down memory lane to think about that vivid purple in those waterlilies paintings.
