Not just a busy railaway station but a cultural icon, Flinders St Station was built at the end of the Victorian era finished in 1909. It was a statement of pride by the state of Victoria and an example of their wealth based on Gold, Grain, Wool and Timber industries.
It remains the busiest train station in Australia and still a grand sight with the Golden glow of the lights on stone.
