English Yew (Taxus Baccata)

is a member of the Taxaceae family. Most commonly used (and seen) as an ornamental shrub, although it can still be found in the wild (spread from old plantings and growing as high as 40ft).

Be aware that all parts of the

English Yew are considered to be highly toxic and potentially fatal. The leaves and bark contain paclitaxel and related taxanes that are used widely in chemotherapy drugs.
