I was a Mom to a girl exclusively for 13 years. My car used to be full of pink and purple things, my daughter's favorite colors. You might have found some Bratz dolls' clothing pieces tucked between my seats.
For the past 9 plus years I have been blessed with a son as well. My daughter is grown now and my car has been over taken by boy things.
I have these orange cones in my trunk, ready to mark off areas to play baseball, football or soccer. There's a baseball bat and ball, bases, a basketball, a soccer ball...as well as beach things in case I decide on that kind of adventure. I am always ready for most anything!
My son is an electronics junkie. Usually I have to encourage him to participate in anything involving the great outdoors but that doesn't keep me from trying. Single Mom or not, that doesn't stop me from teaching him how to be a man. I have taught him to enjoy camping. I even taught him how to pee outdoors. Lol
I always thought being a boy Mom would be difficult because I obviously am not a boy. Who would teach him? I don't know what boys like...
I think we're doing pretty ok. Life with Mom is never boring. And in the way only little boys can, he adores me. And I adore him.
