The vibrant colour of these Jellyfish look beautiful, but their sting can be quite nasty. They are found along the East Coast of Australia, and get washed ashore during wild storms, strong currents, and large waves.
They are carnivores and use their tentacles to paralyze its prey. Its a good idea to watch out for Jellyfish both in the water, and on the sand because they are able to still sting when they are out of the water. Even if a tentacle becomes separated from the Jellyfish body, it is still able to sting.
