We had a huge party, onstage at a large Hemp House.
Hemp House is a type of theater whose fly system (the Rigging for flying lighting, scenery, etc) is made from Hemp Ropes.
the view above? Looking from one side backstage to another. Technically, we are stage left, audience would be seated to the left in the picture, and looking stage right, across the stage, at the Hemp Line sets. See the right hand side, that spiral stair leads up to the Fly Loft, where theater technicians control the line sets to move scenery, drapery, and lighting.
We set up large tables, for seating, and dinner, onstage. And lit the entire show, with colors and more colors. For those of you who don't know, most theaters are totally bare. Lighting is rented from outside for each show. And for this fundraising dinner? We brought it all in as well.
