One of the most impressive places in Liepaja for fans and admirers of military history, fortresses and various fortifications is certainly the powerful ruins of the pre-revolutionary line of Libava’s naval defense. This is the so-called 3rd coastal battery, located on the northern outskirts of Karosta, part of the city, which in the late 19th century was created as an independent urban environment for the base of the military fleet of the Russian Empire
