The design of this Naga is quite different from the Nagas we normally find in Buddhist temple. The tail has been design as a fan with colourful semi-precious stones yo make it sparkle inder the light. The big colourful vase nearby was probably made by the same artist as the detailed patterns are similar in shapes and colours which match beautifully with the Naga. I could not read the plague at the base of the vase. These were probably offered to the Phochai Temple as a gift to Luang Por Phra Sai at the shrine. This is an act of Buddhist Dana (giving) and puja (worship in good faith) by devout Buddhists who believed that this will bring them good karma.
การออกแบบพญานาคนี้ค่อนข้างต่างจากพญานาคที่พบทั่วไป โดยที่หางออกแบบเหมือนพัด และมีการติดพลอยเนื้ออ่อนหลากสี ทำให้หางนี้สะท้อนแสงระยิบระยับสวยงามมาก ส่วนแจกันใหญ่ที่อยู่ข้างๆก็คงทำจากฝีมือของช่างคนเดียวกับที่ออกแบบพญานาค ลวดลายและการลงสีมีความกลมกลืนและเข้ากับพญานาคได้ดีมาก
เราไม่สามารถอ่านป้ายชื่อของคนที่นำมาถวายเพื่อบูชา หลวงพ่อพระใสได้ แต่ก็ทำให้เห็นถึงศรัทธาของชาวพุทธบางคนที่มีความตั้งใจ ในการทำทานและสร้างบุญกุศล ตลอดจนเพื่อบูชาสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่เขาเคารพนับถืออย่างสูง เป็นความเชื่อว่าการทำบุญทำทานจะส่งผลกรรมที่ดีแก่ตนเองและครอบครัว
