Hi friends,
Its been 3 years since we visited this beautiful small town in the outskirts of GAM (Gran Area Metropolitana) which consistes in San Jose, Heredia and Alajuela where almost 2 million costa ricans live. It is a wide valley that contains those 3 big cities.
Back to this picture, it is a giant oxcart painted withe traditionally and well know colors and figures that used to adorn the oxcarts. It used to carry coffee beans to the ports or the rail road where it started its journey to the old continent as they said (Europe).
Just for scale you can also see my mom, wife and sister walking by the oxcart.
It is just a monument, but there are some places in the country where you can still see some of them with maybe some improvements like tires instead of wooden ones.
Thanks for reading.
