Colourful Hydrangea Flowers

Hydrangeas are usually white but as you see here they can also be blue, pink, purple or red. The soil that the hydrangeas are planted in determines their color.

Alkaline soils produce pink or red shaded flowers.

Acidic soils produce blue flowers.
