In a modern world, emoticons ("smilies") symbolize and represent the current state and focus of mainstream culture. 2020 brings several additions, in the name of diversity and inclusiveness. These new symbols give us some interesting combinations (with varying degrees of utility), such as:
- the green pepper
- the yellow ninja
- white woman bottle-feeding
- trans family
- black man in wedding gown & veil
- arabic woman Santa Claus
Wait a sec, how does a trans family... how do they..... well, nevermind. More importantly, trans people got their own flag:
And there's this, which I'm not even really sure what it's supposed to be:
The muslim Mrs. Claus is a pretty awkward mix. I notice that her hair is showing from under her Santa hijab! That's 10 years of shame on her family, isn't it?
Other important stuff on our minds (or scheduled to be on our minds) this year:
- medicated fondu
- depressed polar bears
- large-nosed Groucho
Seriously, is that fondu being heated in an old first aid kit?
Any why is the polar bear so glum? Oh, nevermind, I see where they're going with that one. Clever. Sooo subtle.
The big-nosed face is probably limited time only - to be deemed anti-semitic before 2021's updates.
What a bunch of useless, illogical, offensive, diversity-is-strength, social-engineering bullshit!
Where are the symbols of cryptos, of cannabis, of gold and silver bullion, of revolt, of getting away from big tech and mainstream media, where are the burning banks, where are the yellow vests, the fists held high, the banners of love and liberty and revolution?
What is society focused on, and allowing our attention to be drawn toward? Where is that taking us? Shouldn't we be focused on going somewhere better, instead?
