I remember in 2011, living in the small town of Owensboro, KY dreaming of living the life of a comedic actor in the city of Chicago. While I was saving money waiting for the day I would be able to move I slipped into a depression thinking it would never happen.
Now marks my 6th year in Chicago. I graduated from the Second City Improv and Musical Improv conservatory my first year, did two Cruiseship contracts with Second City (second one is where I met my wife). Then I was hired as writer and lead for Bye Bye Liver the Chicago Drinking Play, shot two films, one music video, wrote and shot a pilot, shot my first national commercial, set to shoot my second and now have a weekly Youtube channel just to name a few things I only imagined would happen.
That year of depression is now just a blip in my timeline. Chin up, move forward and execute. Only then will the fear of the unknown become a confidence in the known. Patience, patience, patience!!
A huge shoutout to Belovedgang for the music and for this great platform!
