With all the hype over the Wonder Woman movie, "first superheroine" to star in her own film, I'm heartened and STEEMED that movie goers will soon see more of Carol Danvers as well.

Never heard of Carol Danvers? I hadn't either. Someone on Facebook said, "Google your first name + Marvel comics and see what comes up." I didn't expect anything "Carol" to yield a single result. The image of Carol Danvers was a pleasant shock.
And then, something even better came of my little google search. I met a blogger ("Reading Carol Danvers") who has a B.A. and M.A. in Foreign Literatures. We have been corresponding regularly ever since.
Who is this mysterious "Reading Carol Danvers" blogger I speak of?
She asks that her name not be revealed, nor her location. Let’s just say English is not her native language, but you’d never guess that from reading her blog. Also, you’d never guess that she is… well, young enough to be my daughter.
With the mystery-blogger's permission, I will give clues to her identity in future posts. Better yet, I’ll just get her to join steemit! I've already persuaded her to join Twitter: @Reading_Danvers (okay, let's try https://twitter.com/Reading_Danvers and Facebook too while you're at it) -- join us there, if you love Marvel superheroines, and if any steemers still do Facebook and Twitter. :-)
And now, let me quote her (at the risk of the little bot slapping my wrist with “I found similar content at this site”), that you may see for yourself why I’m a fan and follower of her blog:
Carol Danvers is one of Marvel's most beloved characters. However, Marvel has a tendency to abuse Carol Danvers and they are much criticized for it. In this site I will explore all of Carol Danvers' appearance in comic books, so we can look at her history for ourselves and make our own conclusions. And just talk about this awesome character and her history. I’d post more here, but it’s better to visit the Carol Danvers site and read this blogger for yourself. I enjoy her comments, critiques, insights, and historical summaries. Bravo! Well done, Ms. Mysterious* Marvel Comics Critic!
*Just one hint, today (more to come in future posts, if she says yes): I wish I could attend the science fiction conventions where she will be a panelist.

I see what you did there #CaptainMarvel
NOTE #2: THANK YOU, thank you, -- I started this in Word, using all the codes you gave me, and you will never get me to confess how much difficulty I've had getting this to look right on steemit - or how LONG this one post has taken - and still, it isn't (wasn't) formatted right. Back to Minnow Support, and all those How To Format posts.... ahh, Rhonda came through with a properly formatted version. Now to study her notes in the Word doc and see what she did that I did not do.
