In The Amazing Spider-Man #11 (Legacy # 905), we see the return of The Hobgoblin. In the past, many villains have taken on the persona of the Hobgoblin, but the question is who is it this time? Currently, Peter Parker is trying to get his life back on track. He is working at Oscorp alongside Kamala Khan. Parker doesn't know that she's Ms. Marvel and she doesn't know that he's Spider-Man. Sporting a new suit, Parker is sweet on Felicia Hardy, who also dons a suit of her own as the Black Cat. Meanwhile, Norman Osborn has appeared to have turned over a new leaf.
Ned Leeds and Betty Brant have had a baby, now that Leeds is no longer presumed to be dead. After hearing a crash, Betty runs into the baby's room only to see the Hobgoblin holding him. Ned meets with Peter to ask for help with taking down Osborn after showing pictures of Osborn meeting with Roderick Kingsley. After confronting Osborn, Peter is still convinced that he has changed and agrees to go with Osborn to return Kingsley's holdings. Kingsley has been unmasked as the Hobgoblin in the past.
Osborn deceives Peter by telling him the wrong night of the meeting to handle business alone. The meeting starts to feel like it's about to go off the rails when the Hobgoblin shows up. Back in Yorktown, we see Betty sleeping while little Winston is in his crib. Can Ned possibly be this Hobgoblin?
Zeb Wells is currently writing these intense Spider-Man mysteries. The legendary John Romita, Jr. is back contributing pencil work, while Scott Hanna (inker) and Marcio Menyz (color artist) lend a hand with enhancing the artwork. They combined on an intense cover, as well. I haven't read a Spider-Man comic in awhile but I like this new arc to his story.
